Spoil (2011)

SPOIL is a stunningly beautiful film example of artists and photographers engaged in protecting the environment. 10 world-renowned nature photographers were invited to document British Columbia’s Great Bear Rainforest landscapes, wildlife and culture -  in the face of the threat of the proposed Enbridge Northern Gateway pipeline to carry Tar Sands oil through the region to a Pacific coast super-tanker port.  This “Rapid Assessment Visual Expedition” (RAVE) project supports the First Nations and environmental groups seeking to stop the proposed pipeline. The film is particularly timely as hearings are now beginning to consider approval of this pipeline.
